ARAI DEFIANT PRO-CRUISE Helmet

The Arai Defiant Pro-Cruise helmet is the latest offering from the venerable Japanese helmet manufacturer. The Defiant is billed as a “multi-purpose” helmet, and its features reflect that. The shell is made from a lightweight composite fiberglass material, and it comes in both full-face and open-face configurations. It also has a built-in sun shield, which is a nice touch.
The Defiant’s most distinguishing feature, however, is its pro-cruise ventilation system. Most helmets have either intake or exhaust vents on the top of the shell. The pro-cruise system has both types of vents, as well as two additional side vents that direct air onto the rider’s face. This makes for a much cooler ride, even on the hottest days.
